Throughput-maximizing
power control in wireless ad hoc networks is known
to be a non-convex optimization problem. Such problem
was recently approached by many researchers using
geometric programming, signomial programming, etc.
However, only suboptimal solutions have been obtained
so far. The global optimal solution still remains
open. In this talk, I will introduce a linear multiplicative
fractional programming method to solve the throughput-maximizing
